Facial Thread Vein Removal
Thread veins are dilated capillaries that may have ruptured. They can occur at any age and affect any skin type, not just dry and sensitive skins. They occur most frequently on the cheeks, the bridge and sides of the nose, under the eyes and on the chin. They are caused by sun damage, alcohol, drinking hot tea or coffee, eating spicy food, high blood pressure, exposure to harsh weather conditions and steroid products applied on the skin.
Facial thread veins can be treated with Sandals Med Spa's Super Frecator™ device and Plasma Pens by our certified and experienced medical estheticians. This is a painless and bloodless procedure performed after the application of numbing cream to the face. After the application of a safe, high frequency electric current that delivers a precise spark through a micro-needle, the small veins at the surface of the skin dry up and are removed, and a natural protective coating or scab develops that cover the treated area. Within the next few days, the scab will fall off and be replaced by healthy new skin cells, the color of the surrounding skin tissue. During the procedure the micro-needle remains above the skin surface; it does not penetrate the skin. In most cases, there is no visible indication of the previous veins. All devices and estheticians are supervised by our double board certified Plastic Surgeon.
